Thank you for your interest in participating in the 29th Annual Colgate Country Showdown hosted by The New 93Q. This years contest will take place Saturday April 24th at “A Day In The Country”. Minimum age to participate in this years contest is 16.

Please take a minute to review and fill out the attached Contestant Entry Form provided on this page, along with a compact disk or cassette (NO VIDEO TAPE) and the $15 Money Order (NO CASH OR CHECKS) made payable to Special Promotions, INC. and mail to:

Entries must be delivered to The New 93Q by 5:00pm on Tuesday April 6TH. Any entry not delivered to The New 93Q will not be included in the preliminary judging with no exceptions. Entries will not be mailed back to contestants but will be made available to pick up at The New 93Q business office after April 26TH.

A panel of judges will judge all of the entries and notify all contestants that will advance to perform at “A Day In The Country” by Tuesday April 8th. If selected and you intend to use the back up band provided you must provide charted sheet music of your selected song you will use in the competition by Friday April 12th. The back up band is not responsible for providing charted music.

Each contestant will have the opportunity to have a thirty minute rehearsal with the back up band on a to be determined week night the week prior to the show.
